Dr. Thomas Wright
On Tuesday,
December 7, 2004, a called Executive Committee Meeting was held at Government
Street Baptist Church in Mobile to interview and extend a call to Dr. Wright. After a time of sharing and prayer, the Executive
Committee voted unanimously to call Dr. Wright as the new Executive Director of Missions.
A fellowship luncheon, hosted by Government Street Baptist Church, followed the
meeting. Dr. Wright began his ministry with Mobile Baptists on January 1,
2005.
Brother Thomas
has served in International and home missions since 1978. He enjoys
teaching, preaching and writing and has served as a church planter and an adjunct professor of evangelism,
missions and church history. He and Donna home school Jason (born 1988) and Amy
(born 1991). Jason is planning for seminary after college and Amy has been
called as an International Missionary. He is fluent in Laotian and Thai.
