The busyness of our schedules often makes it difficult to remember the importance of Jesus’ words in John 15:5: “I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without Me.” (HCSB) Our fruit comes from remaining in Christ through our daily, personal prayer and Bible study. No skill or church growth technique can replace the fruit that comes from consistent, humble abiding in Christ. A lack of fruit is an indicator of the need for personal renewal.
Associational Budget Commitment Cards
Each pastor and treasurer should have recently received a missions letter and card to let us know the amount your church will be giving to the local MBA missions in 2007. Thank you for helping us wisely prepare the 2007 Budget. We have heard back from 26 churches so far with anticipated giving of $208,000. Please return your card as soon as you know the 2007 missions allotment to the MBA. Please consider increasing your support to join those who already give 3% or more of their undesignated gifts to association wide missions. Welcome Ed Adams
The Lord has led Ed and Anne Adams to serve on the MBA staff as volunteer MBA Partnership Missions Coordinators. They are members of Moffett Road Baptist Church. Ed is retired from Delta airlines. They will be helping us reach the goal of involving members from every MBA church in local, state national and international missions. Please contact Bro. Volunteer Newsletter Editor and Volunteer Web Master Needed
Please join us in praying for the Lord to lead someone to serve as the volunteer editor of our newsletter and print communications. The editor will help with the design and collect content for each edition of the newsletter. Please contact me at dom@mobilebaptists.org for more information.
We also are praying for the Lord to send us someone to help us redesign and improve our web presence. MSC Academic Dean for the MBA School of Theology Needed
Another important position is the leader for the practical theological training that we need to offer in the MBA. The dean will determine curriculum, schedules and teachers.
It is marvelous to see the Lord working through our churches.
