International Language Schools (ILS)

The International Language School (ILS) opened in 1981 as an MBA ministry. The ILS is available to non-English speaking students. Each student is evaluated and placed according to their level of ability. A trained volunteer teacher helps the students learn English and about the love of Jesus.

The school year runs from September through May. Last year we had over 100 students from 30 countries.

Our area churches are welcome to visit any of the 3 locations:
Tillman's Corner First Baptist Church
Airport Boulevard Baptist Church
Sage Avenue Baptist Church

The purpose of the ILS is to use ESL as a way to develop friendships with Internationals and to share the love of Christ. Additionally, the International Ministries seeks to start churches for every nationality living in Mobile County. The ILS is an outreach arm of the International Ministries.

February 20-21 No Class (Mardi Gras holiday)

February 22-24 No Class (Presidents’ Day and Mobile Public School holiday)

April 16-20   No Class (Spring Break)

May 18 Last Day of Class

June/July*** Summer Classes

August ILS Summer Break

September 4 ILS begins new school year
